Vegetable CSA

Our CSA members subscribe to a 24-week distribution period during which they enjoy more than 40 different varieties of our USDA Certified Organic vegetables. Each share is intended to fulfill the average weekly vegetable needs of a family of four, or two vegetarian adults.

Our produce is USDA Certified Organic, which means our vegetable operation adheres to strict standards set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibiting the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. All share items are grown on-site at Glynwood by our crew of farmers and apprentices.

We offer two share options for members: a Full Share with pickup every week for $740, or a Half Share with pickup every other week for $385. Our 24-week season means that each share costs approximately $30/week, which, on average, represents a 15% discount over retail prices. That means during an average growing season, a Full Share is valued at over $800, and a Half Share is over $400 (but the true value could be more or less depending on seasonal variations).

Payment in full is required when purchasing your CSA share through our online store. We also offer an installment plan dividing the full cost of a share into payments over the course of the season. Please contact our Vegetable Production Manager, Jarret Nelson, to discuss alternative payment plans.

The first pickup of the 2018 season is scheduled for Tuesday, May 29 and the final pickup will take place in early November.

Pickup hours at Glynwood are 2-6pm on Tuesdays (with a grace period until 2pm on Wednesday) or Fridays (with a grace period until 2pm on Saturday).

We also offer subsidized CSA shares through our local Philipstown Food Pantry, and we accept SNAP benefits for purchases of CSA shares and products sold at our Farm Store. Please refer anyone interested in purchasing a subsidized CSA share to Andy Reid at the Philipstown Food Pantry.

Donations for Glynwood’s Subsidized CSA Share Initiative

In addition to purchasing your share for the upcoming season through this online store, you have the option to make a donation to our subsidized CSA share initiative. Your donation will help expand access to our farm fresh products for low-income and food-insecure families. As part of this initiative, we accept SNAP benefits for CSA share purchases and offer 10 heavily subsidized CSA shares to the community through our partnership with the Philipstown Food Pantry. All donations for subsidized CSA shares are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
